Central Library occupies a place of pride
in Viva Institute of Technology and is an essential component of
the institute's outstanding research and education mission.
It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly
environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promotes discovery
and scholarship.
The mission of the Central Library is to facilitate creation of new knowledge through
acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing
for value added services.
All operations of the Library are automated with the help of an integrated library
software package.

Library Profile

|
Viva Institute of Technology Library will be true learning centre, which aims to serve the needs of faculty, research scholars, students and other members of the library by providing excellent resources. The well furnished institute library is located on the first floor and is spread over 5,000 sq.ft. with seating capacity for around 80 students. The library is divided into 2 sections:
1. The Reading Hall with 60 seating capacity
2. The stacking Area

Timings:
Library service available to users: from 9am to 5pm on all weekdays.
Resources:
Books: The library has an extensive collection of books covering all major aspects of engineering branches and also related areas.
Periodicals: Periodicals is vital source for academic research and it provides up to date information. Library subscribed National and International Journals in the field of engineering.

Rules and Regulations |

1. Access to library is restricted to staff and students of Institute, who are in possession of a current valid identification card to be issued.
2. Member must carry their Identity Card to use the library.
3. Silence is required in Library area.
4. Eatables are not allowed in the library premises.
5. Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be reshelved by the readers but should be left on the trolly or table.
