Abstract
“FLOATING SUN TRACKER HYDRAULIC SOLAR PANEL” This paper investigates the design and potential of a floating solar panel system incorporating a hydraulic sun-tracking mechanism. Addressing limitations of traditional land-based systems, our approach combines the benefits of reduced land use and water conservation of floating solar farms with the improved energy efficiency of sun-tracking. The hydraulic system, utilizing fluid dynamics for panel orientation, offers a potentially robust and cost-effective alternative to conventional electromechanical trackers. We present the system's components, operating principles, anticipated advantages, and discuss its suitability for broader implementation in sustainable energy initiatives. Initial calculations suggest a significant performance boost compared to fixed-tilt setups.
