Abstract
Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (HFCEVs) are emerging as a promising solution for reducing emissions in the transportation sector. These vehicles generate electrical energy through an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, producing only water and heat as byproducts. Due to the absence of combustion, HFCEVs do not emit harmful gases at the tailpipe, making them environmentally friendly during operation. Their higher energy conversion efficiency, fast refueling capability, and long driving range make them suitable for both light-duty and heavy-duty applications. Despite existing challenges related to cost and infrastructure, ongoing technological advancements indicate a strong future potential for hydrogen fuel cell-based transportation systems.
