The Training and Placement Cell established since 2009 extends career guidance, campus placement which is a gateway to an aspired career and helps the students to become competent in the world of cut-throat competition.

At VIVA Institute of Technology career services, soft skills development program and aptitude are provided which enhance the potentials of students and which creates maximum opportunities for the placement of the eligible students in the job market. The Training and Placement Cell caters for enhancing not only the employability skills but also the overall development of the student’s personality.

The objective of VIVA Institute of Technology, Training & Placement Cell is to place all eligible students in reputed IT Industry as product based or service based right at the campus itself. On Campus and Pre-placement training programs such as Aptitude Tests are conducted along with Seminars based on the overall Campus Recruitment Process, Skill Set Analysis, Steering the Interview and Transactional Analysis. These activities enable us to identify the strengths and weakness of an individual candidate and help us select strategies for improvement. We arrange workshops, alumni meet for interactions, we have collaboration with various IT companies to open new avenue of career. We conduct pre placement activity program for the final year students which helps students to get placed in MNCs.

  • Training & Placement Cell Activities
    • Providing training program on personality development to enhance the soft skills & Communications skills of the Students.
    • Conducting Guest Lectures by inviting Corporate Professionals & distinguished Educationists/Academicians.
    • Facilitate students by conducting Mock & Preparatory Tests and General Aptitude & Technical Aptitude.
    • Arranging ON / OFF campus recruitments.
    • Communication Skills, Aptitude and Personality Training is imparted to the Students starting from 2nd Semester onwards and will be an on-going affair till the end of the semester.
    • Arranging in-plant training and industrial visits, during every academic year.

  • Training & Placement Cell Policies
    • The placement facility is available to all the students registered with Training & Placement Cell.
    • Student should clearly mention whether he want to opt for Placements or Higher Studies or Entrepreneurship.
    • If the student is opting for higher studies or Entrepreneurship necessary trainings and guidance will be provided by the T&P Cell.
    • The role of a Training & Placement cell is of a Facilitator, and need not guarantee a job.
    • It is mandatory for the students to attend Aptitude and other trainings failing to which students will not be allowed to participate in any Placement drives.
    • If students face any difficulty or have any queries, they should contact the member of T&P cell only.
    • Any student who has received offer letter, must inform the Placement office and submit the photocopy of the same as soon as possible.
    • Students need to check their information regularly and update the same whenever required. As this information will be shared with the industries.
    • During the Campus Recruitment Program, a student who opts for the written test should mandatorily appear for the GD/PI also, failing which he/she will be debarred from the Campus Recruitment Program for all other subsequent companies.
    • Any breach of these rules shall lead to the student getting debarred from the placement process.
    • Those students, who do not wish to participate for any recruitment process, must inform the T&P office in advance, so as to give opportunity to the other students.
    • Students to strictly follow the college dress code during recruitments.
    • Need to carry all the necessary documents during the recruitment process in hard copy.
    • Need to be ready for Placements and any movement
    • Non-Eligible students will be given extended support in Internships/ apprenticeship/ workshops as per availability.

  • About Industrial Relations
    • Technical education forms the backbone of development of any nation. The journey of cooperation between Industry and Institute has taken different forms at different times. Historically it started with simple interaction and gradually evolved to very close partnership overtime.
    • India has one of the largest technical manpower in the world. But compared to its population, it is not significant and there is a tremendous scope of improvement in this area.
    • Bridging the skill gap is the need of the day and decides the national development and economic growth.
    • The cell is the bridge between the industry, the real world and the institute. Industrial exposure of Faculty is very much helpful to guide students about latest industrial practices. Industries are able to know recent developments and inventions in their fields and implement projects for technologically driven economy.

    • With the advent of globalization and opening up of Indian economy to outside world, competition among industries has become stiff.
    • To solve their engineering problems they look up now to engineering institutions. Similarly, there is an urgent need to prepare engineering students for jobs in multinational companies, by exposing them to newer technologies and engineering methodologies.
    • Strengthening the digital India vision of the nation has been focusing on digital literacy as a key pillar benefitting the citizens, teachers, students in enabling them to lead an effective life in the digital world.
    • To give industrial exposure to Faculty members and students, thus enabling them to tune their knowledge to cope with the industrial culture.
    • To assist the Departments in organizing workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industries.
    • Integration of industrial trainings and other inputs from industry with teaching-learning process. The interaction develops student’s awareness on job functions in the industries, attitude to adapt industrial environment, proper practical and relevant knowledge, skills etc.
